10. Agreement between the Austrian Federal Government and the European Organization for the Use of Meteorological Satellites on the Liberation of the State Income Tax for former members of the staff of the European Organisation for the use of meteorological satellites

The Austrian Federal Government and the European Organisation for the Use of Meteorological Satellites,

HAVING REGARD TO the legal status of former members of the staff of the European Organisation for the Use of Meteorological Satellites established in the territory of the Republic of Austria, in relation to the State Income Tax rules,

Notwithstanding the provisions of Article 10 (g) of the Protocol on the Privileges and Immunities of the European Organisation for the Use of Meteorological Satellites 1 the legal situation in the relationship between the Republic of Austria and the European Organisation for the Use of Meteorological Satellites,

HAVE AGREED ON THE FOLLOWING:

Article 1

All former members of the staff of the European Organisation for the Use of Meteorological Satellites are exempted from the State income tax on their pensions paid by the Organization and similar services. However, the Republic of Austria shall retain the right to take account of these pensions and benefits in the determination of the tax to be levied on income from other sources.

Article 2

This Agreement shall enter into force on the first day of the month following the month in which the contracting parties have informed each other of the conclusion of the procedures necessary for the Agreement to be binding on both parties to the agreement. Effect obtained.
