June 27, 2011 on the occasion of the deposit of the instrument of ratification Cyprus has declared following conditional:

While the law on the rights of persons with disabilities, in accordance with the directive of the Council 2000/78/EC of 27 November 2000 establishing a general framework for equal treatment in employment and occupation, determined in his paragraph 3a, that the said Act concerning the employment does not apply to: (a) the armed forces, to the extent in which the nature of the employment requires special skills , which may be exercised not by people with disabilities, and (b) professional activities, where due to the nature or the conditions of its implementation, a special feature or ability, that a person with a disability has not, is a genuine and determining occupational requirement, provided that the goal legitimate and the requirement is proportionate, taking into account the possible adoption of reasonable measures;

the Republic of Cyprus declares that she ratified the Convention with reservation relating to article 27 of § 1 of the Convention to the extent in which its provisions in contradiction with the provisions of paragraph 3a of the Act on the rights of persons with disabilities are available.

 

Communications the Secretary-General of the United Nations according to the following States have their on the occasion of the deposit of the issued instrument of ratification or accession reservations and declarations wholly or partially withdrawn:

Mexico:

On January 3, 2012, Mexico has communicated that it completely withdraw the interpretative Erklärung1 given on the occasion of the deposit of its instrument of ratification.

United Kingdom:

On December 21, 2011, the United Kingdom has communicated that it paragraph 4 pulls back the on the occasion of the deposit of the instrument of ratification of the Vorbehalt2 to article 12.
