486th Ordinance of the Federal Minister for health, the messages of national reference laboratories for zoonoses

On the basis of section 26a para 4 of the epidemic law of 1950, BGBl. No. 186, as last amended by Federal Law Gazette I no. 43/2012, is prescribed:

§ 1 (1) the notification of time and place occur by zoonotic agents pursuant to section 26a para 2 of the epidemic Act 1950, BGBl. No. 186, in its current version, has to contain in particular the following information per isolate.

(2) reporting to the competent district administrative authority shall contain:



1. identification of the national reference laboratories and address, 2. date of receipt of / the isolate/specimen in the national reference laboratory, 3. designation of the subject laboratory and address (State, city with postal code, street, house number), 4., 5. zoonotic agents along with typing/fine typing, 6 date of Lab Diagnostics reference laboratory, 7 first name and family / last name / of the patient, 8 date of birth / the patient, 9 social security number , 10 gender / the patient, 11 place of residence (country, location with zip code, competent district administrative authority), 12 first isolate (yes/no), 13 if available - name of / of doctor's advice drawn to, ordination address, and 14 lab ID of / of the isolate/specimen of the reference laboratories.

(3) the notification to the Secretariat of the Federal Commission on the monitoring of zoonoses and the Austrian Agency for health and food safety has to contain:



1. identification of the national reference laboratories and address, 2. date of receipt of / the isolate/specimen in the national reference laboratory, 3. name of the subject laboratory address (State, city with postal code, street, house number), 4 material, 5. zoonotic agents along with typing/fine typing, 6 date of Lab Diagnostics reference lab 7 birth year / the patient, 8 sex / of the patient, 9 location (State, competent district administrative authority) , 10 first isolate (yes/no), and 11 laboratory-own ID of / of the isolate/specimen of the reference laboratories.

(4) the message on which the affected/affected Director/Head of the National Committee for zoonosis control shall contain:



1. identification of the national reference laboratories and address, 2. date of receipt of / the isolate/specimen in the national reference laboratory, 3. designation of the subject laboratory and address (State, competent district administrative authority), 4 material, 5. zoonotic agents along with typing/fine typing, 6 date of Lab Diagnostics reference laboratory, 7 year of birth / the patient, 8 sex / the patient, 9 place of residence (country, location with zip code, competent district administrative authority) , 10 first isolate (yes/no), and 11 laboratory-own ID of / of the isolate/specimen of the reference laboratories.

§ 2. The monthly summary of all findings of diseases of zoonotic agents in accordance with section 26a para 3 of the epidemic Act 1950, Federal Law Gazette No. 186, in the currently valid version, has to contain in particular the following information per isolate:



1. identification of the national reference laboratories and address, 2. date of receipt of / the isolate/specimen in the national reference laboratory, 3. designation of the subject laboratory and address (State, city with postal code, street, house number), 4 material, 5. zoonotic agents along with typing/fine typing, 6 date of Lab Diagnostics reference laboratory, 7 year of birth / the patient, 8 sex / of the patient, 9 location (State, competent district administrative authority) 10 first isolate (yes/no) , 11 laboratory ID of / of the isolate/specimen of the reference laboratories.

The site has listed to be done after each competent district administrative authority.

Are the messages in accordance with § 1 para 2 § 3 (1) via the data interface provided by the Federal Ministry of health in the register of notifiable diseases (§ 4 Epidemigesetz 1950) to submit.

(2) the messages are according to article 1, par. 3 and 4 to transmit electronically in the form of a table.

(3) the monthly statements referred to in paragraph 2 shall be electronically.
