37. Reaction of the Federal Chancellor concerning the scope of the Protocol implementing the 1991 Alpine Convention in the field of transport-Protocol "Transport"

On 7 February 2013, following a communication from the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs, Italy adopted its instrument of ratification of the Protocol for the Implementation of the Alpine Convention of 1991 in the field of transport-Protocol "Transport" (BGBl. III N ° 234/2002 idF BGBl. III No 108/2005, last proclamation of the BGBl area. III No 120/2005) and on the occasion of the following interpretative statement:

Italy declares that the provisions of Article 11 of the present Protocol do not prejudge the possibility of road construction projects on Italian territory for long-distance connections, including those for the development of trade with the countries concerned. in the north of the Alps, to achieve the necessary infrastructure.
