119. Presentation by the Federal Chancellor of the scope of the Convention, drawn up by the Council in accordance with Article 34 of the Treaty on European Union, on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters between the Member States of the European Union

(e) for the purposes of Articles 18 and 20 of the Convention on Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters between the Member States of the European Union, the competent authority shall be the competent authority, in application of the normal legislation governing the provision of Jurisdiction shall be designated as a court. With regard to Article 20 (4) on the designation of contact points occupied around the clock, Spain's contact points are the competent court's authorities which are inadvertent. "
