The instrument of ratification, signed by the Federal President and countersigned by the Federal Chancellor, was deposited with the Government of the Italian Republic on 8 August 2012; the Treaty enters into force on 1 July 2013 in accordance with Article 3 (3) of this Treaty.

The Treaty was published in the Official Journal of the European Union, OJ C 327 No. OJ L 112 of 24.04.2012.
