239. Declaration by the Federal Chancellor concerning the scope of the Nice Agreement on the International Classification of Goods and Services for the Registration of Trade Marks of 15 June 1957, revised in Stockholm on 14 July 1967 and in Geneva, 13 May 1977

On 16 July 2013, following a communication from the Director-General of the World Intellectual Property Organisation, New Zealand adopted its instrument of accession to the Nice Agreement on the International Classification of Goods and Services for the Registration of Goods and Services Stamps of 15 June 1957 revised in Stockholm on 14 July 1967 and in Geneva on 13 May 1977 (BGBl. No 340/1982 idF BGBl. N ° 124/1984, last proclamation of the BGBl area. III No 67/2013), on the occasion of which, in accordance with the constitutional status of Tokelau, and with a view to the commitment of the Government of New Zealand to the creation of self-government for Tokelau by a Do not extend to Tokelau the act of self-determination under the Charter of the United Nations, unless the Government of New Zealand makes a statement to the Depositar in this regard after detailed consultation with this Area.
