292. Regulation of the Federal Minister of Transport, Innovation and Technology, amending the regulation on road signs (road sign regulation 1998-StVZVO 1998) (1). Novelle to StVZVO 1998)

On the basis of § 34 (1) Road Traffic Regulations 1960, BGBl. N ° 159, as last amended by BGBl I No 39/2013, shall be arranged:

The Road Sign Regulation 1998, BGBl. II. 238, shall be amended as follows:

1. § 4 (1) reads:

" (1) The reflex materials to be used (retroreflective sheeting) must be either type 1, type 2 or type 3.

a)		Type 1: The reflex material consists of a light bundle system that sends back incident light in a bundled form (retroreflective sheeting).
b)		Type 2: The reflex material consists of a light-bundle system which has a higher retroreflection than type 1.
c)		Type 3: The reflex material consists of a light-bundle system which has a higher retroreflection than type 2. "

2. In § 4 (3), the third sentence is deleted and the second sentence reads:

" These minimum values shall apply in each case for films of the corresponding type in the new state in the case of illumination with the normal light type A for the indicated illumination angles. and observation angles as well as for the determined measurement geometries. "

3. § 4 (4) first sentence reads:

" In the case of type 1 films, the return beam value shall not exceed 50% for a period of seven years, and not more than 20% in the case of type 2 films for a period of ten years, and of type 3 films for a period of time of 12 years shall not reduce by more than 20% compared to the minimum re-irradiation values in the new condition. "

4. § 4 (5), first sentence reads:

" For road signs according to § 50 Z 6a to d, 11, 11a and 12, § 52 lit. a Z 2, 4a, 4c, lit. b Z 15, 23 and 24 as well as § 53 Z 2a, 2b, 2c, 8a and 8c StVO 1960, provided they are not illuminated or are designed as optical or electronic display devices, are to use reflex materials of type 2 or type 3.

5. § 8 second sentence is deleted.

6. In accordance with § 9 (3), the following paragraph 4 is added:

" (4) Road traffic signs which comply with the provisions of the 1998 Road Signing Ordinance, BGBl II No 238/1998, may be applied until 31 December 2014; road signs already affixed shall not be used until 31 December 2014. Renewal by road signs, in the version of the BGBl. II No 292/2013. Road signs which are temporarily applied, in particular in the course of construction sites, and whose implementation complies with the provisions of the 1998 Road Traffic Code Regulation, BGBl II No 238/1998, may continue to be affixed.

7. In accordance with § 10, the following § 11 is added:

" Notifications

§ 11. The Regulation in the version of the BGBl. II No 292/2013 has been adopted in compliance with the provisions of Directive 98 /34/EC laying down a procedure for the provision of information in the field of technical standards and regulations, which codifies the procedure laid down in Directive 83 /189/EEC, under which: Notification number 2013 /170/A. "

7. Annex 1 shall be replaced by the following Annex:
