509. Regulation of the Federal Minister for Home Affairs, which lays down the labelling of border crossing points

On the basis of Section 5 (1) of the German Border Control Act (GrekoG), BGBl. I No 435/1996, as last amended by the Federal Law of the Federal Republic of Germany (BGBl). I n ° 68/2013, shall be arranged:

Identification of border crossing points at the external border

§ 1. (1) In addition to the specifications referred to in Article 5 (1) of the GrekoG, border crossing points on the external border shall be designated by the authority responsible for the implementation of the border control and the local name of the border crossing point in accordance with the pattern of Annex A shall be identified.

(2) The panels shall be made of form-and weatherproof material with a width of 2.1 cm wide, red-white-red border in the 60 x 50 cm format; the size of the table shall be admissible if the scope of the text or its visual impression, the Legibility of the typeface or of the space available for the installation of the tablet require this.

Identification of other border crossing points

§ 2. (1) Other border crossing points, other than those referred to in Article 5 (2) of the GrekoG, shall be replaced by signs according to the model of the Appendix B shall be identified.

(2) The signs shall be made from material and weatherproof material, the colour values of which are subject to the conditions of the 1998 Road Signing Ordinance, BGBl. II No 238/1998, as amended by the BGBl Regulation. II No 292/2013.

(3) The size of the signs shall be in the course of other border crossing points in the course of

1.

a highway 160 x 250 cm,

2.

a federal or state road 96 x 120 cm,

3.

Of other roads 63 x 96 cm, and

4.

of footpaths 47 x 63 cm

,

(4) The signs shall be affixed to standing columns made of material and weatherproof material. The ground clearance of the lower edge of the notice board shall be 220 cm for motorways, 180 cm for other roads and 180 cm for footpaths; a derogation from this shall be allowed in so far as it is better visible in accordance with local circumstances; Board serves.

(5) In the course of the transport routes referred to in paragraph 3 (1) to (3), signs shall be placed on the right side of the road for both entry and exit traffic, as seen in the direction of traffic. In the cases referred to in paragraph 3 (4), only one notice board shall be placed on the wayside with both sides of the drawing.

(6) Where, at the opening of any other border crossing point, a notice board cannot be produced in a timely manner in a condition corresponding to the provisions of this Regulation, the temporary use of a notice board shall be is permitted with a similar nature. This also applies analogously to the type of attachment and installation of information boards.

Transitional provisions

§ 3. (1) At the date of entry into force of this Regulation already existing notice boards, which are not corresponding to the provisions of § 1, may continue to be used until the end of 31 March 2014.

(2) At the date of entry into force of this Regulation already existing notice boards not corresponding to the provisions of § 2 shall be allowed to continue to be used until the end of 31 December 2014.
