According to the note by the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Iraq notified its approval on 24 September 2014, by amending Article 1 of the Convention on the Prohibition or Restriction of the Use of Certain Conventional Weapons. Weapons that can cause excessive suffering or have indiscriminate effect (BGBl. III. No 37/2005, last proclamation of the BGBl area. III, No 93/2014).
