79. Federal Act, which changes the Federal Act on the Price Binding of Books

The National Council has decided:

The Federal Law on Price Binding of Books, BGBl. I n ° 45/2000, as last amended by the Federal Law Gazette (BGBl). I n ° 82/2009, shall be amended as follows:

1. § 1 first sentence reads:

"This federal law applies to the publishing house and the import as well as to the trade in German-language books, e-books and music."

2. § 2 Z 2 reads:

" 2.		Importer, who introduces a product for sale to Austria for the purposes of § 1 or who sells a product in the sense of § 1 for commercial purposes in cross-border trade to the last consumer in Austria; "

3. In § 2 Z 6, the point shall be replaced by a stroke, and the following Z 7 shall be added:

" 7.		E-Book, a digitally retrievable and storable book content that can be read via suitable terminals, such as e-readers, tablets and smartphones. "

4. The following paragraph 3 is added to § 8:

" (3) § 1, § 2 Z 2, 6 and 7 and § 9 in the version of the Federal Law BGBl. I n ° 79/2014 will enter into force on 1.12.2014. "

5. In § 9, the word order shall be "the Federal Minister for Education, the Arts and Culture" through the phrase "the Federal Chancellor" replaced.
