On the occasion of the deposit of its instrument of accession, Cuba has declared that, in accordance with the provisions of Article 20 (3) of the Protocol, it does not comply with the provisions of paragraph 2 of this Article.

In addition, on the occasion of the deposit of its instrument of ratification, the Czech Republic shall determine its authority in accordance with Article 8 (6) of the Protocol as follows:

Without prejudice to Article 18 of the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime and the Communication of the Czech Republic, which was made pursuant to Article 18 (13), the Czech Republic shall, in accordance with Article 18 of the United Nations Convention on Transnational Organized Crime Article 8 (6) of the Protocol against the smuggling of migrants by land, sea and air to the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organised Crime, which states that the Police Presidium of the Czech Republic, Department of International Police Cooperation, as the responsible authority for the receipt of requests for legal assistance, for the confirmations of the registration or the right of a ship to fly its flag and for the adoption of appropriate measures to be taken and to respond to them.
