Amendment. Law No 24.156.

The Senate and Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine Nation, meeting in Congress, etc., are sanctioned by law:

Article 1-Substitute Article 37 of Law 24.156, of Financial Administration and of the Control Systems of the National Public Sector, and its modifications, as follows: Article 37: The decisions of the National Congress are reserved for the National Congress. the total amount of the budget and the amount of the expected debt, as well as the items relating to reserved and intelligence expenses. The Chief of Cabinet of Ministers can arrange the budgetary restructurings that he considers necessary within the total amount approved. These restructurings may not exceed seven comma five per cent (7,5%) for the financial year 2017 and five per cent (5%) for the financial year 2018 and the following, of the total amount approved for each budget law, not 15% (15%) of the budget approved for the purpose, in the case of increases in current expenditure to the detriment of capital expenditure or financial applications, and/or changes in the distribution of the purposes. The budgetary restructurings carried out by the Chief of the Cabinet of Ministers, in accordance with the powers laid down in this Article, shall be notified to both the Budget and Finance Committees of the Honorable Congress of the Nation within five (5) working days of its diktat, specifying the amounts of money, purposes of expenditure, physical goals and modified programs. The regulations shall establish the scope and mechanisms for making the amendments to the general budget law that are necessary during their implementation.
