DECREE NO 68

THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR,

WHEREAS:

I. That the existing delimitation between the municipalities that comprise the Department of San Salvador does not conform to the present development of the technology in the field of registration and territorial measurement; nor does it conform to the current circumstances of social and economic development of the country.

II. That with the registration technology and the photogrammetric models currently available by the National Registry Center; it is possible to carry out a precise delimitation and demarcation of these limits.

III. That a process of dialogue has developed between the municipalities involved with the assistance of the National Registry Center and the Geographic Institute and the National Catastro, thus reaching out to the elaboration and signature of the Acta de UAGILARES-SUCHITOTO municipal limit with reference number 0601-0715, which is taken as the basis for the content of this decree and annexed as an integral part of it.

IV. That the Municipal Code in its Art. 23 establishes that it is the faculty of the Legislative Assembly to decree the definition of territorial limits .

V. That according to Art. 131 ordinal 5th of the Constitution it is the competence of this First State Authority to decree, to interpret authentically, to reform and to repeal secondary laws.

In the use of his constitutional powers and at the initiative of Deputies Cesar Humberto Garcia Aguilera, Mario Antonio Ponce Lopez, Gaspar Armando Portillo Benitez, and former deputies Noel Abilio Bonilla Bonilla, Isidro Antonio Caballero Caballero, Jose Ernesto Castellanos Campos, Roberto Eduardo Castillo Batlle, Nicolas Garcia Alfaro, Vilma Celina Garcia de Monterrosa, Jesus Grande, Marco Tulio Mejia Palma, Miguel Angel Navarrete Navarrete and Hector Ricardo Silva Arguello.

DECCRETA:

Art. 1. It is established as a limit between the Municipalities of Aguilares and Suchitoto of the Departments of San Salvador and Cuscatlán, the following:

Start Trifinium Point, point number one. It starts the boundary at the intersection of the northern line of property, of the plot three hundred seven, of the Sector R zero one, zero six, zero one, with the river Acelhuate; with coordinates: Length equal four hundred and eighty three thousand, five hundred Fifty-eight, point forty-five meters; Latitude equal three hundred and eighteen thousand, five hundred and seventy-three, point eleven meters. Considered this point as number one and mojon trifinio for the municipalities of Aguilares,

El Paisnal, both belonging to the department of San Salvador and Suchitoto, belonging to the department of Cuscatlán. The adjacent ones for this point are the plots with cadastral code numbers: three hundred seven, from Sector zero six, zero one, R zero one, for Aguilares; three hundred eighteen, from sector zero six, zero five, R thirteen, for El Paisnal and the plot one hundred and thirty-five, record-sheet zero seven three hundred and seventy-one, zero three, five hundred, belonging to Suchitoto.

Single journey. Point number one to point number two. With course South-West, through the central axis of the river Acelhuate, upstream, with a distance of three thousand, nine hundred and sixty-three, point ninety-eight meters, to intercept the broken Saint Luke. This is the number two point, with coordinates: Length equal four hundred and eighty-one thousand, seven hundred and eighty-eight point thirty-five meters; Latitude equal three hundred fifteen thousand, five hundred and twenty-six point eighty-five meters. Leaving for the municipality of Aguilares the plots: three hundred seven, two hundred eight and two hundred three, from Sector zero six, zero one, R zero one; one hundred and eighty seven, one hundred and seventy-four, one and one hundred and seventy-three, from Sector zero six, zero one, R zero two, and for the municipality of Suchitoto the plots one hundred and thirty-five, one hundred and thirty-six, one hundred and forty-three, all of the land map zero seven three hundred and seventy-one, zero three, five hundred, plots one and three, both from the map-zero map seven three hundred and seventy-one, zero seven, five hundred.

Trifinium point of arrival. It is located at the confluence of the Quebrada San Lucas, with the river Acelhuate, said point has the following coordinates: Length equal four hundred and eighty-one thousand seven hundred and eighty-eight, point thirty-five meters; Latitude equal three hundred fifteen thousand five hundred and twenty-six-point eighty-five meters. It has as adjoining the hundred and seventy-three plots, from Sector zero six, zero one, R zero two, belonging to Aguilares; plot three of the map cadastral zero seven three hundred and seventy-one, zero seven, five hundred, belonging to Suchitoto and plot one, from Sector zero six, zero six, R zero one, belonging to the municipality of Guazapa.

Art. 2. This Decree shall enter into force eight days after its publication in the Official Journal.
