The construction of a monument in tribute to General Don José Francisco de San Martín was available in the town of Yapeyu, Corrientes Province. Sanctioned: June 27, 2012 Enacted: July 25, 2012

The Senate and Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine Nation, meeting in Congress, etc., are sanctioned by law:

Article 1-The construction of a monument in tribute to General Don José Francisco de San Martín, which should be shown in a military dress mounted on his horse, is to be located in Yapeyu, Corrientes province.

Article 2 °-The national executive branch will agree with the government of the province of Corrientes to transfer a property where the monument mentioned in the previous article will be located.

ARTICLE 3 °-The Ministry of Culture of the Nation shall be the enforcement authority of this law.

ARTICLE 4 °-The Secretariat of Culture of the Nation, within the SESENTA (60) days of promulgated this law: a) Call for a public contest of antecedents to Argentine sculptors in order to present proposals for the design and construction (b) Convocation, with an ad honorem character, to a jury composed of THREE (3) Argentine sculptors of performance and relevant antecedents with the aim of selecting the proposal that best reflects the spirit of the present initiative.

Article 5-The expenses that are required to comply with this law shall be charged to the budget of the national administration, in the year following the year of entry into force of this law and in subsequent years, according to the physical progress of the relevant works and up to their conclusion.
