Create the National University of Comechingones. Sanctioned: October 22, 2014 Enacted in Fact: November 7, 2014

The Senate and Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine Nation, meeting in Congress, etc., are sanctioned by law:

ARTICLE 1-Create the National University of the Comechingones, which will be based in the city of Villa de Merlo, province of San Luis, and will be able to establish organisms and dependencies within its area of influence.

Article 2 °-The creation and organization of the National University of Comechingones is carried out within the framework of Law 24,521 and will be governed by its constitution and organization by the laws and regulations in force for the universities national.

ARTICLE 3-The academic offer of the National University of Comechingones, attentive to the characteristics of the educational region and its area of influence, will promote mainly careers oriented to the environmental sciences, astronomical and tourism, planning the harmonization and articulation of their careers avoiding the overlap of offer at both geographic and disciplinary level with those of universities already installed in the region. It will also be able to set up research and extension programmes in the areas linked to the social and economic development of the region, with a regional, national and international perspective.

Article 4 °-The national executive branch is authorized to manage and accept the government of the province of San Luis, the Municipality of the Villa de Merlo and natural or legal persons, public or private, transfers, donations or legacies of movable and immovable property, in order to comply with this law, which shall constitute the patrimony of the National University of the Comechingones.

ARTICLE 5-The National University of Comechingones, through the Ministry of Education of the Nation, is empowered to sign cooperation agreements for its financing and any other activities related to its purposes, with public and private bodies, national and international.

Article 6-The National University of Comechingones may promote the formation of foundations, societies or associations, with a view to supporting their work, facilitating relations with the

means, to respond and to promote the necessary conditions for the fulfilment of its aims and objectives.

Article 7 °-The national executive branch will have the designation of an Organising Rector who, assisted by a Special Organizing Committee, will be responsible for the process of formulating the institutional project and the draft provisional statute. of the National University of Comechingones, complying with the provisions of Article 49 of Law 24,521. The time limit for standardisation may not exceed two (2) years.

ARTICLE 8 °-The expenses that the implementation of this law requires will be met with the specific departure of the credit for the national universities that will determine the Ministry of Education of the Nation until the inclusion of the University National of the Comechingones in the Budget Law.

ARTICLE 9-This law shall enter into force on the day following its publication in the Official Gazette.
