Law 27176

"National Day of the Fight against Gender Violence in the Media". Sanctioned: August 26, 2015 Enacted in Fact: September 22, 2015

The Senate and Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine Nation, meeting in Congress, etc., are sanctioned by law:

Article 1 °-Institutional on March 11 of each year, as the "National Day of the Fight against Gender Violence in the Media".

ARTICLE 2-This law aims to promote the protection and safeguarding of equality between women and men and the plural, egalitarian and non-stereotyped treatment, avoiding all discrimination by gender or sexual orientation in the means of communication in accordance with Articles 3 (m); 70 and 71 of Law 26,522 of Audiovisual Communication Services and Articles 5 (5) and 6 (f) of the Law 26,485 of Comprehensive Protection to Prevent, Sanctioning and Eradicating Violence Against Women in the Ambites that Develop Their Relations Interpersonal.

Article 3-In accordance with the provisions of Article 1, in the month of March of each year, the national executive branch, through the appropriate agencies, shall develop training, dissemination, prevention and awareness activities that promote critical reflection on gender-based violence in the media.

ARTICLE 4 °-Commune to the national executive branch.

GIVEN IN THE SESSION HALL OF THE ARGENTINE CONGRESS, IN BUENOS AIRES, AT THE TWENTY-SIX DAYS OF AUGUST OF THE YEAR TWO THOUSAND FIFTEEN.
