LAW ON THE ESTABLISHMENT OF HOLIDAYS AND LONG WEEKENDS
TITLE I
Of the Feriados
ARTICLE 1.-The following shall be established as national holidays and non-working days throughout the territory of the Nation:
NATIONAL INAMOVLÖD.
1 January: New Year.
Monday and Tuesday of Carnival.
March 24: National Memory Day for Truth and Justice.
Holy Friday.
April 2: Day of the Veteran and the Fallen in the Falklands War.
May 1: Labor Day.
May 25: May Revolution Day.
June 20: Step into the Immortality of General Don Manuel Belgrano.
July 9: Independence Day.
December 8: Day of the Immaculate Conception of Mary.
December 25: Christmas.
TRANSFERABLE NATIONALS:
June 17: Step into the Immortality of General Don Martin Miguel de Guemes.
August 17: Step to the Immortality of General Don Jose de San Martín.
October 12: Day of Respect for Cultural Diversity.
November 20: National Sovereignty Day.
NON-WORKING DAYS:
Holy Thursday.
ARTICLE 2.-Set as non-working days for all the inhabitants of the Argentine Nation who profess the Jewish religion on the days of the Jewish New Year (Rosh Hashana), two (2) days, the Day of Forgiveness (Iom Kippur), one (1) day, and of the Jewish Passover (Pesaj) the two (2) first days and the two (2) last days.
ARTICLE 3.-Set as non-working days for all the inhabitants of the Argentine Nation who profess the Islamic religion, the day of the Muslim New Year (Hegira), the day after the culmination of the fast (Id Al-Fitr); and the day of the Feast Sacrifice (Id Al-Adha).
ARTICLE 4.-Workers who do not provide services in the religious holidays referred to in Articles 2 and 3 of this measure shall bear remuneration and other emerging rights in the employment relationship as if they had provided service.
Article 5 °.-The national executive branch will develop dissemination campaigns aimed at promoting the historical reflection and awareness of society on the sociocultural value of national holidays commemorating the events or events historical, by appropriate means and at sufficient time and in advance.
TITLE II
End of Weeks Long
ARTICLE 6.-The national transferable holidays established by Article 1 of the present whose dates coincide with Tuesday and Wednesday will be moved to the previous day. Those who match on Thursday and Friday will be moved to the next Monday.
ARTICLE 7 °.-The national executive branch may, in addition to the provisions of the previous article, fix annually up to three (3) holidays or non-working days to promote the tourist activity, which must coincide with the days of Monday or Friday. The national executive branch will have to establish them in advance of fifty (50) days at the end of the calendar year.
Article 8 °.-The days that are paid for the application of the preceding articles, shall enjoy the remuneration of the same rights as established by the current legislation in respect of the national holidays.
ARTICLE 9.-Defeat decrees 1 5 8 4/2 0 1 0, 52/2017 and 80/2017.
ARTICLE 10.-Commune to the national executive branch.
