Decree 621/98

Protract as an exception, the validity of Decree No. 2355/92, which excluded broadcasters belonging to the National Universities, Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, Provinces and Municipalities, from the prohibition contained in article 107 of Law No. 22,285.

VISTO Decree No. 2355 of 7 December 1992 and

CONSIDERING:

That the aforementioned Decree excluded, as an exception and by the term of CINCO (5) years, the prohibition contained in article 107 of Law No. 22.285, in what it does to the issue of advertising, to the stations belonging to the National Universities, to the then Municipality of the City of Buenos Aires and to the Provinces and Municipalities, that they provide broadcasting services through any of the forms mentioned in the law.

That the foundations taken into account at that time still remain, since it is necessary to obtain immediate results in order to increase the acquisition of genuine resources that will allow them to face in a more comprehensive and comprehensive manner the financing of their erogations and that the amendment of the Broadcasting Act No. 22,285, regulated by Decree No. 286/81 and amendments, is to be considered.

It is essential to be able to rely on the resources from the procurement of advertising, without which the aforementioned broadcasters would be prevented from fulfilling their functions.

That in the light of the delay in the enactment of a new Broadcasting Act, a measure is required to maintain the authorization granted by Decree No. 2355/92.

That the present is given in the use of the powers conferred by article 99, paragraph 3 of the National Constitution.

Therefore,

THE PRESIDENT OF THE ARGENTINA NATION IN GENERAL AGREEMENT OF MINISTERS DECRETA:

Article 1-Please be extended as of 16 December 1997, with an exception, by the term of CINCO (5) years the exclusion of the prohibition contained in article 107 of Law No. 22,285, which is provided in due course by Decree No. 2355/92, insofar as publicity is issued, to broadcasters belonging to the National Universities, Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, Provinces and Municipalities, which provide services for any kind of broadcasting.
