VISTO Decree No. 995 of 28 May 1991 establishing the NATIONAL COMMISSION ON SPACE ACTIVITIES (CONAE), and amending Decree No. 1435 of 31 July 1991, both ratified by article 35 of Act No. 11.672 (t. Decree No. 1486/97), and its Decree No. 1662/96, and

CONSIDERING:

Article 1 of Decree No. 1662/96 replaced article 5 of Decree No. 995/91 and its amendment No. 1435/91, establishing the new organizational structure of the NATIONAL COMMISSION for SPACE ACTIVITIES (CONAE), which consists of a Directory, composed of a President, a Vice-President and representatives of different sectors of the National Civil Service.

That by Decree No. 2420 of 19 November 1993, he was appointed a member of the Board of Directors of the NATIONAL COMMISSION ON SPACE ACTIVITIES (CONAE) on behalf of the Science and Technology Sector, Dr. Fernando Raúl COLOMB (DNI No. 7,072.305), for the statutory term CUATRO (4) years, under which his mandate ended on 19 November 1997.

That the SECRETARIAT OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY, under the MINISTERY OF CULTURA AND EDUCATION, proposed to appoint in the post Dr. Fernando Raúl COLOMB, representing the Science and Technology Sector, for a new period of CUATRO (4) years.

That this measure fits into the provisions contained in Article 1 of Decree No. 1662/96, amending Article 5 of Decree No. 995/91.

Therefore,

THE PRESIDENT OF THE ARGENTINA NATION

RIGHT:

Article 1Be appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of the NATIONAL COMMISSION ON SPACE ACTIVITIES (CONAE), representing the Science and Technology Sector, to Dr. Fernando Raúl COLOMB (DNI No. 7,072.305), for a new period of CUATRO (4) years, beginning on 20 November l997.
