CONVENTIONS Decree 1048/98 Ratify a Convention with the Province of San Luis, with the aim of cancelling the acrecies of the different jurisdictions arising from the sale of assets, actions and/or canons for concessions of goods or areas of the former state company Gas of the State Society. VISTO Article 82 of Law No. 24.076 and the Convention between the NATIONAL STATE and the SAN LUIS PROVINCIA, dated 24 October 1997 and

CONSIDERING:

That by Law No. 24,076, regulated by Decree No. 1738, dated 18 September 1992, is declared subject to full privatization under the law No. 23,696, to STATE SOCIEDY GAS.

That article 82 of Act No. 24,076 provided that the result of the aforementioned privatization, the TEN BY SCIENTO (10 %) of the sales of the assets or shares and/or of the canon obtained when it comes to the granting of goods or zones, will be destined and transferred to the Provinces and to the ex-MUNICIPALITY OF THE CITY OF BUENOS AIRES.

In compliance with the provisions of the above-mentioned normative framework and with the aim of cancelling the aggravations of the various jurisdictions arising from the sale of assets, actions and/or canons for concessions of goods or areas of the former state-owned company GAS DEL ESTADO SOCIEDAD DEL ESTADO, the NACIONAL GOVERNMENT has signed, on 24 October 1997, an agreement with the SAN LUIS PROVINCIA.

That by the SAN LUIS PROVINCIA Act No. 5.133, such jurisdiction has ratified the aforementioned convention.

That has taken the corresponding intervention the General DIRECTION OF JURIDIC MATTERS of the MINISTERY OF ECONOMY AND ARTWS AND PUBLIC SERVICES.

That the action taken is in accordance with article 82 of Act No. 24.076 and article 99 (1) of the NATIONAL CONSTITUTION.

Therefore,

THE PRESIDENT OF THE ARGENTINA NATION

RIGHT:

Article 1-Ratify the Convention between the NATIONAL STATE and the SAN LUIS PROVINCIA, dated 24 October 1997, which as Annex I is an integral part of this measure. Art. 2°-Communicate to the BICAMERAL COMMISSION of the HONORABLE CONGRESS OF NATION created by article 14 of Act No. 23,696.
