Accept the resignation of the Executive Director, Designation of his replacement.

VISTO acted in Expediente No. 750-000 139/97 of the Register of the MINISTERY of ECONOMY AND PUBLIC SERVICES, and

CONSIDERING:

On January 10, 1997, Engineer Gustavo Luis PETRACCHI resigned from the post of Executive Director of the Binational YACYRETA Entity for which he had been appointed by Decree No. 1 161/96.

It is up to the final vacance of the post of Director and the application of the provisions of Article 10 of Annex "A" of the Yacyretá Treaty that the Argentine Government appoints the replacement who will exercise the mandate for the remaining period.

That WATER AND ELECTRIC ENERGY SOCIEDAD OF THE STATE (today in liquidation) in exercise of the powers of the aforementioned norm and in accordance with the national authorities of the area, proposes to cover the position of the Lawyer Jorge Eduardo PEDREIRA.

That the National Executive Power is empowered to dictate this act by virtue of the powers conferred by Article 99, inc. 7) of the National Constitution and by application of the Yacyretá Treaty adopted by National Law No. 20,646.

Therefore,

RIGHT:

Article 1-Accept the resignation submitted by Engineer Gustavo Luis PETRACCHI (DNI 4.413.543) as Executive Director of the YACYRETA Binational Entity.

Art. 2°-In the position of Executive Director of the Binational Entity YACYRETA, Dr. Jorge Eduardo PEDREIRA (L. E. 7.08 1.505).

Art. 3°-Notice the officials mentioned in the preceding articles.

Art. 4°-This act shall take effect from the date of notification.
