VIEW TRANSIT AND SECURITY Decree 730/97 Protract the deadline for obtaining the Model Configuration License from manufacturers and importers of motors and couplings or manufacturers of armed vehicles in stages, established in Article 28 of Annex I to Decree No. 779/95.

VISTO Issue No. 060-003228/96 of the Register of MINISTERY OF ECONOMY AND ARTWS AND PUBLIC SERVICES, the Law on Transit and Road Safety No. 24,449 and its Rule Decree No. 779 of 20 November 1995 and

CONSIDERING:

That in accordance with the provisions of the Decree quoted in the VISTO, manufacturers and importers of automotives and couplings and manufacturers of armed vehicles in stages, shall certify, before the ex-SECRETARIAT OF INDUSTRIA currently SECRETARIAT OF INDUSTRIA, TRADE AND MINERIA, dependent on the MINISTERIO DE ECONOMIA AND BRAZILS and SERVICES

That for the purposes of accreditation of the requirements set out in the previous consideration, a time limit was set for CENTO OCHENTA (180) days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette of the aforementioned Decree.

That for the approval of the parties concerned it is necessary to collect documentation of extensive processing that requires a period exceeding the time required.

It is necessary to harmonize with the various participating agencies the functions that each of them has to do.

That such harmonization has been resented by the various changes of authorities in them.

That it has therefore been considered appropriate to extend such a time limit in order to facilitate compliance with the requirements of the relevant legislation.

That article 94 of Law No. 24.449 determines the dates on which the authorities will be demanding compliance with new provisions.

That the Permanent Legal Service of the MINISTERY OF ECONOMY AND ARTWORKS AND SERVICES PUBLICOS has taken the intervention that belongs to him.

That the present measure is in use of the powers conferred by Law 24.449, Decree No. 779 of 20 November 1995 and the provisions of article 99, paragraph 2, of the NATIONAL CONSTITUTION.

Therefore,

Article 1 de It is extended from its expiry and until 30 August 1997 the deadline given in the sixth paragraph of Article 28 of Annex I to Decree No. 779 of 20 November 1995 for obtaining LICENCIA FOR MODEL CONFIGURATION by two manufacturers and importers of automotives and couplings or manufacturers of armed vehicles in stages.
