Decree 1204/97

Approve an Act by which a decoration is agreed to the municipal mayor of Montevideo, the Eastern Republic of Uruguay.

VISTO is established by Decree-Law No. 16.629 of 17 December 1957, ratified by Act No. 14.467. for which the "Morning Order" was created, and

CONSIDERING:

That the Council of the Order has agreed to the proposal to condecorate Mr. Intendente Municipal de Montevideo, REPUBLICA ORIENTAL DEL URUGUAY, Arquitecto D. Mariano ARANA SANCHEZ, who has become a creditor to the honor and recognition of the Nation.

It is up to the NATIONAL EXECUTIVE PODER to issue the supplementary approval measure provided for in article 6 of Decree Law No. 16.629 of 17 December 1957, ratified by Law No. 14.467.

Therefore,

THE PRESIDENT OF THE ARGENTINA NATION

RIGHT:

Article 1Approve the Act of the Council of the "ORDEN DE MAYO", signed on February 24, 1997, by which the decoration of the "ORDEN DE MAYO TO MERITO", in the rank of GRAN OFICIAL, to Mr. Intendente Municipal de Montevideo, REPUBLICA ORIENTAL DEL URUGUAY, Arquitecto D. Mariano ARANA SANCHEZ.

Art. 2o-Exempt the corresponding diploma, in accordance with article 19 of the Regulations of the "March Order" adopted by Decree No. 16,644 of 18 December 1957.
