CITY OF GOOD AIRES Decree 751/96 Authorize the use of the National Library as the seat of the Assembly of representatives of the electorate, which will dictate the Organizational Statute of its institutions.

VISTO Law No. 24,620, and

CONSIDERING:

That by article 1 of Law 24,620 the electorate of the City of Buenos Aires was called for the election of sixty representatives, who will dictate the Organizational Statute of their institutions, as provided for in article 129 of the National Constitution.

That by article 7 of the same law, it was determined that the Assembly will begin its work within the twenty (20) days of the election of its members, which took place on 30 June 1996.

In accordance with the provisions of article 10 of the above-mentioned law, the Assembly will conduct its meetings at the General Cultural Centre San Martín or, at the place it determines.

That contractual commitments signed prior to the sanction of that law make it advisable that the mentioned Cultural Centre be used exclusively for the inaugural act.

On the other hand, the elected representatives agreed that the meetings should be held at the headquarters of the National Library, a subsidiary of the SECRETARIAT OF CULTURE of the NATIONAL PRESIDENCE.

As such, it is necessary to take the steps leading to the normal functioning of the Assembly of Representatives.

That this measure is in accordance with the provisions of article 11 of Act No. 24,620 and the powers conferred in article 99 (1) of the National Constitution.

Therefore,

THE PRESIDENT OF THE ARGENTINA NATION

RIGHT:

Article 1 . Authorize the use of the National Library under the SECRETARIAT OF CULTURE of the NATION PRESIDENCE, as the seat of the Assembly of representatives of the electorate of the City of Buenos Aires, which will dictate the Organizational Statute of its institutions, provided for in article 129 of the National Constitution.

Art. 2o . Without prejudice to article 1, the inaugural session of the Assembly will be held on July 19, 1996, at the General Cultural Centre San Martín de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, in accordance with article 10 of Law No. 24,620.

Art. 3o . The MINISTERY OF THE INTERIOR shall adopt such orders as may be necessary for the installation of the Assembly, having the authority to carry out the direct agreements and contracts set out in article 56, paragraph 3 (d) of the Accounting Act, necessary to carry out the task entrusted to it.

Art. 4o . For the expenses that demand the fulfillment of the present will be provided the necessary budgetary modifications.
