INDUSTRIAL PROMOTION Decree 1854/90 Provide for the continuation of submissions under Decree No. 964/88.

VISTO Decrees No. 964 of 4 August 1988 and No. 527 of 14 August 1989; and

CONSIDERING

That Article 3 of Decree No. 964/88 empowered the then SECRETARIAT OF INDUSTRIA AND TRADE EXTERIOR to be available for a period not exceeding TRESCIENTS SESENTA AND CINCO (365) days, the measures corresponding to the purpose of foreseeing that those new capital goods, without use and their spare parts and accessories that are not produced in the country, may be imported with the import right of CINCO FOR SCIENTO (5%).

That the validity of this regime was maintained by article 1 of Decree No. 527 of 14 August 1989, adding a period of TRESCIENTS SESENTA AND CINCO (365) days from the day following the date of its publication.

That the latter period expired on 17 August 1990.

For various reasons of administrative nature, submissions whose processing was initiated prior to the date cited have not been resolved.

Measures to resolve outstanding cases are necessary.

That by article 53 of Decree No. 435 of 4 March 1990, the Regime Implementation Authority established by Decree No. 964 of 4 August 1988, which is the statutory regulation of Act No. 21.608, is the SUBSECRETARIA DE FINANZAS PUBLICAS.

That the present is determined according to the provisions of Act No. 21.608 and its amended Act No. 22.876, Decree No. 2541 of 26 August 1977 and article 11 of Act No. 23.658, ratified by article 7 of Act No. 23.697.

THE PRESIDENT OF THE ARGENTINA NATION

RIGHT:

Article 1 . The presentations made under the regime established by Decree No. 964 of 4 August 1988, which was maintained by Decree No. 527 of 14 August 1989, registered prior to 17 August 1990, will continue to be processed in accordance with the provisions of the aforementioned legal regulations.

Art. 2° La The PUBLIC FINANCIAL SUBSECRETY of the MINISTERY of ECONOMY will arbitrate the necessary measures to accelerate the treatment of the requests referred to in the previous article.
