VISTO the communication produced by the Ministry of the Interior proposing to modify the text of article 9 of Decree No. 700/89.

CONSIDERING:

That the aforementioned administrative act regulates Law 23.511.

That article 9 exempts relatives of children allegedly missing or in captivity from consular costs.

That the wording of it may present interpretative difficulties that would make it inapplicable in practice, so it is appropriate to proceed to modify its text so as to clarify its terms and facilitate its effectivization.

Therefore,

THE PRESIDENT OF THE ARGENTINA NATION

RIGHT:

Article 1 Artículo Amend the content of Article 9 of Decree No. 700/89, which shall read as follows: "Art. 9o . The Ministry of Foreign Affairs And CULTO will be in charge of giving the instructions and issuing the necessary provisions for the Argentine consulates to give proper and timely compliance with the tasks set out in Article 3 of Law 23.511."

"Consular service will be free. The costs that for any concept will devenue the extraction of blood samples and the conduct of studies, as well as any tariff or tax that exists abroad, will be exclusively charged to the interested individuals."
