VISTO proposed by the Ministry of Economy, and

CONSIDERING:

An increase in the price of cigarettes will be authorized since 16 June 1986.

That the measure taken makes it necessary to produce a readjustment in the imposition of selective consumptions, in order to maintain a balance between the revenues of the sector and those corresponding to the National Fisco.

The conditions provided for in article 86 of the Internal Tax Law, which was ordained in 1979 and its amendments, are met.

Accordingly, it is appropriate to make use of the authority granted by the said article.

Therefore,

THE PRESIDENT OF THE ARGENTINA NATION

RIGHT:

Article 1 . Raise to seventy per cent (70 per cent) the rates set out in article 23 (a), (b) and (c) of the Internal Tax Law, ordinance in 1979 and its amendments.

Art. 2° . The rates established in the previous article will begin to govern on 16 June 1986.

Art. 3rd . Communicate, publish, give to the National Directorate of the Official Register and archvese.
