VISTO decrees number 15 and 134 of 10 December 1983 and their amendments; and

CONSIDERING:

That the aforementioned legal acts determined the Secretariats and Under-Secretaries of the various ministerial areas and the Presidency of the Nation and their respective missions.

That Decrees No. 3.855 of 11 December 1984; 359 of 19 February 1985, 1,189 of 26 June 1985 and 1,198 of 28 June 1985 introduced amendments to the original organizational scheme of the Ministry of Economy.

As a result of the notorious increase in the activities emerging from the implementation of the national anti-inflationary plan, in the area of its competence, it is necessary to adapt the organizational scheme of the Ministry of Internal Trade, provided for in part IV of Article 1 of Decree No. 3.855/84.

For this reason, it is essential to proceed to a reasonable and organic division of labour, which requires the separation of prices and control policies and aspects of loyalty, systems, commercial markets and their development into two subsecretariats, in accordance with the directives and instructions that arise from the policies set out in matters by the Superior Government of the Nation.

That the Executive Power is empowered to take the measures consequent upon the powers that be it by virtue of article 86, paragraph 1, of the National Constitution and, in particular, by article 9 of the Law of Ministries (t.o 1983).

Therefore,

Article 1o Arti Replace, in article 1 of Decree No. 15 of 10 December 1983, as amended by article 1 of Decree No. 3.855 of 11 December 1984, by article 1 of Decree No. 359 of 19 February 1985, by article 1 of Decree No. 1.189 of 26 June 1985, and by article 1 of the Decree No. 1198 of 28 June 1985, part of the Ministry of Economy, as follows:

Art. 2o. Replace partly with regard to the area of Internal Trade, paragraph IV of Annex IV, approved by Article 1 of Decree No. 134 of 10 December 1983, by the following:

IV— Ministry of Internal Trade

Assist the Minister of Economics in all matters related to the programming, implementation and control of the internal trade policy of the Nation and its promotion and in the organization and control of the supply.

Undersecretary of Price Policy

Assist the Secretary of Internal Trade in the definition, implementation and control of policies related to prices and control in internal trade.

Undersecretary for the Development of Internal Trade.

Assist the Secretary of Internal Trade in the definition, implementation and control of policies related to loyalty, trade systems, internal trade markets and their development.

Art. 3o. The Ministry of Internal Trade shall, through the Ministry of Economics, elevate to the National Executive, within a time limit that shall not exceed the ninety (90) days of the date of this decree, its proposal of organic structure - functional according to the modifications approved by this decree.
