DECRETO CONTRATATIONS No. 858. Please delete the amount set out in Article 10 (a) of Law No. 12,709 and its amendments concerning direct contracting by the General Directorate of Military Manufacturing.

VISTO was informed by the Commander-in-Chief of the Army, as proposed by the Minister of Defence in Expediente No. 0981/83 (DGFM) and

CONSIDERING:

That the General Directorate of Military Manufactures is authorized to perform direct contractings under Article 10 (a) of Law No. 12,709 and its modifications, and currently the limit for the individual award of pesos nove hundred million ($ 900,000.000), as provided for in Decree No. 1.118/79.

That the precited sum was the result of updating, as of December 1978, the weight of three hundred and sixty million (weights three hundred and sixty million), provided for by Decree No. 1.532 of 14 July 1978.

That the time elapsed from this calculation makes it advisable to make a new correction, pondering the limit of increase of prices for non-agricultural wholesale products ­ national level, of which would result an approximate figure of pesos forty-two thousand seven hundred million (pesos 42.600,000).

That Article No. 2 of Law No. 17.826 gives the Executive Power the attribute of modifying the reference limit, when well-founded reasons so advise.

Therefore,

THE PRESIDENT OF THE ARGENTINA NATION

RIGHT:

Article 1 . Raise by weights forty-two million seven hundred million (weights 42.6 million) the amount currently established in pesos nine hundred million ($ 900,000) for Article 10 (a) of Law 12.709 and its amendments. Art. 2o . Communicate, publish, give to the National Directorate of the Official Register and archvese.
