Decree No. 2550/1980

Approve the deadline set in article 1 of the Joint Resolution of the Ministries of the Interior and the Nros Economy. 9 and 1,322 respectively for the transfer of services, agencies and functions in the natural gas sector.

VISTO proposed by the Minister of Economy, and

CONSIDERING:

That by Joint Resolution of the Ministers of the Interior and Economics numbers 9 (M.I.) and 1.322 (M.E.) respectively of December 3, 1979, approved by Article 3 of Decree No. 258/80, was determined to transfer without charge to the provinces, to the Municipality of the City of Buenos Aires and to the National Territory of Tierra del Fuego, Atártida and South Atlantic Islands services, organisms and functions of the natural gas,

That by article 1 of the aforementioned Resolution was established as the deadline for the conclusion of the respective transfer agreements on 30 June 1980.

That subsequently, by decree No. 1.175 of 25 August 1980, the aforementioned period was extended until 31 December 1980.

That to date, for the most part, transfers have been fulfilled, especially with respect to the sectors of sanitary and electric works.

That in relation to the natural gas sector, studies have been carried out during the course of the year to materialize such transfers arising from them the need to continue with the analysis of the technical difficulties in that sector in order to overcome them.

It is therefore considered necessary to agree on a limited extension to the transfer of services, agencies and functions in the natural gas sector.

That the National Executive Power is empowered to regulate the above-mentioned measure of government, by article 2 of Act No. 18.568.

Therefore,

Article 1 - The deadline set in article 1 of the Joint Resolution of the Ministries of the Interior and the Economy numbers 9 (M.I.) and 1.322 (M.E.), respectively, dated 31 December 1979, approved by Decree No. 258, dated 31 January 1980 and extended by decree 1.775 dated 28 August 1980, as far as the transfer of services, agencies and functions in the natural sector is concerned.
