The Gas Company of the State is intervened and the Interventor becomes interested.

VISTO the need to proceed to the integral reordering of the State Gas Company in merit of its functions in the energy sector and,

CONSIDERING:

That the energy policy supported by the Higher National Government has as one of its most decisive goals the progressive replacement of oil by gas;

That the national petrochemical industry contributes to the achievement of considerable foreign exchange savings of liquefied gas imports;

That the self-supply of natural gas will allow in the short term to avoid the import of that product;

That, therefore, it is advisable to have the necessary measures leading to the reordering of that Company, ensuring the normal continuity of the public service by it;

Therefore, and the proposal of the Ministry of Economy,

THE PRESIDENT OF THE ARGENTINA NATION

RIGHT:

Article 1 - The Gas Company of the State is intervened.

Art. 2o - Designase Interventor of said Company to Mr. Lieutenant Colonel (R.E.) Dn. Guillermo Barrena Guzmán (M.I. number 5.3106.576), who for the best exercise of the mission assigned to him will assume the functions that the Organic Statute of the Company, with the limitations contained therein and without prejudice to the original responsibility of the Interventor.

Art. 3° - The powers granted by the previous article to Mr.Interventor in Gas of the State shall be exercised by themselves in exclusivity, and when this is necessary, may delegate functions provided for in the statutes of that Company, with the limitations contained therein and without prejudice to the original responsibility of the Interventor.
