VISTO is informed by the Commander General of the Navy, as proposed by the Minister of Defence, and
That after four years of operation of the Safety Standards for the Repair, Maintenance and Conservation of Ships, provided for in Chapter X of the Maritime and Fluvial Digest and incorporated as Chapter 7 of Title 4 of the Maritime, Fluvial and Lacustre Navigation Regime (REGINAVE), the experience advised its update, in order to facilitate ships that remain in operational conditions;

RIGHT: Article 1 -
Replace the texts of article 169, subparagraph (b), sub-paragraph (i), item 3 of the Maritime and Fluvial Digest and article 407.0103, subparagraph (a), sub-paragraph 3 of the Maritime, Fluvial and Lacustre Navigation Regime (REGINAVE), with the following:
"Works in "cold" in the main machines rooms, auxiliaries, usins, excluding the pump room or compressors of cargo, cloths or premises where flammable substances or fuels are transported.
"When for reasons of operational maintenance, the ship will need to perform cold repairs in the pump room while sailing, a ship degassing technician will be shipped, for the purposes of the control established in this Chapter and the delivery to the captain, of the "Cost on Working Conditions", being recorded in the Navigation Journal. In addition, the captain will settle in that book, the necessity of the procedure employed and its reasons. In compliance with these requirements, the captain, under his responsibility, may authorize the realization of the cold work indicated." Art. 2o -
This decree will be endorsed by the Minister of Defence. Art. 3o -
