GREAT DECRETO No. 4.011 Annual date for pricing.

VISTO reported by the Working Group composed of representatives of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Mining, the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic and the National Board of Grains for the purpose of proposing measures relating to the pricing of grain support, and

CONSIDERING:

Through the Decree No. 4.286 of 20 April 1960, the prices set by the Executive should be set on 25 January for oats and rye; on 25 April for wheat, linen and barley, and on 30 June for the thick harvest;

That, in practice, they were fixed on two opportunities, one for fine harvest and one for thick harvest, but in 1970 it was decided to set them together in June, and in 1971 in April;

That the measure cited in the previous consideration was adopted with the purpose of making known in due advance the support prices provided by the government so that producers can properly plan their sowings.

That while such a provision means establishing early values, in certain cases in one year at the start of the marketing cycle, it is considered reasonable to set them in March, with the exception of practising readjustments of the values prior to the marketing of the grain, in order to adapt them, if appropriate, to the circumstances of the time, taking into account the market prices, problems related to the quote of new currency, or the validity of

That the support provided to production through this medium must have some flexibility in its implementation by the Executive Branch, with the understanding that the price regime has the character of a minimum, a minimum and a supporter, or special purchase, to guide the decision of producers regarding crops that are of greater or less interest to the country;

That this would also consider the fluctuations in the supply and demand that occur in the international market, in a relatively short time, and that in the particular case of our country, it is influenced by the fact that its crops do not coincide with those of the northern hemisphere;

In addition, it is appropriate to undertake a study on the feasibility of a differential price system by region of cultivation, which replaces those established so far;

Accordingly, it is appropriate to take the measures recommended by the Working Group;

For this reason and the proposal of the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock

RIGHT:

Article 1 . During the month of March of each year the support prices will be established for the grains of the crops corresponding to it.

Art. 2o Estos These prices may, if necessary, be adjusted before the time of marketing of the grain in question.

Art. 3o El The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock will conduct a study on the feasibility of a different price system by region of cultivation.

Art. 4o... Contact, post, give to the National Directorate of the Official Register and return to the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock.
