Contests to award hydrocarbon exploration permits within the "Golfo San Jorge" area.

VISTO proposed by the State Secretariat for Energy and Mining and advised by the Ministry of Economy and Labour, and
CONSIDERING:
It is consistent with the purposes of Law No. 17.319 to accelerate the process of self-supply continued with the policy inaugurated by Decree No. 5907/67, which provided for the opening of areas for the exploration of hydrocarbons;
Therefore and the provisions of articles 9; 46°; 56°, inc. (c) subsection VI, 86°, 98° inc. (a) and 103° of the law referred to in the preceding consideration,
The President of the Argentine Nation,
Decrete:
Article 1 - The Authority for the Application of Act No. 17.319 shall proceed to conduct competitive examinations for the award of hydrocarbon exploration permits in accordance with the provisions of the Act,
within the next area of the continental shelfadscripta en el plane annex (A), que forma parte del presente decree:

Art. 2° - Revise 47 0/0 (quarentisiete per cent) the percentage set out in article 56°(c), section VI of Act No. 17.319, for the ten (10) years following the respective award, in favour of those who, within the time limit and conditions set by article 103° of the Act, obtain exploration permits that are the result of such permits, within the defined area of this decree.
Article 3 - The Authority for the Application of Law No. 17.319 shall also proceed to conduct examinations for the award of permits for the exploration of hydrocarbons subject to the provisions of the Law, in the following area of the territory which is defined in the plane Annex (B) which is part of this decree:

Art. 4° - Retrieve 50 per cent (Finth per cent) the percentage set out in article 56°, subparagraph (c), section VI of Act No. 17.319 for the ten (10) years following the award, in favour of those who, in the time and conditions set by article 103° of the Act, obtain exploration permits and concessions of exploitation that are the result of such permits, within the specified area.
Article 5 - The provisions of article 47 of the Act No. 17.319 and shall be made by the implementing Authority, to which article 86 of the Act is authorized.
Article 6 - This decree shall be endorsed by the Ministers of Economy and Labour and Defence and signed by the Secretary of State for Energy and Mining and the Commander of Naval Operations.
Art. 7° - Contact, publish, give to the National Directorate of the Official Register and archvese.
