GREAT HEALTH. - Create an Inter-Ministerial Commission that will be responsible for the coordination and definition of complementary aspects of the draft Big Jump and the Convention of 30/12/46.

VISTO was informed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship in the D.D.N. No. 25.594/66 concerning the urgent need to integrate and restructure the Inter-Ministerial Commission which was responsible for the coordination and definition, at the top level, of some complementary aspects of the international agreements concerning the works of Salto Grande, and

CONSIDERING:

That the Argentine Government promptly invited the Government of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay to exchange the conclusions and decisions to which both parties have arrived in the matter, in order to form the background material that would be required by the World Bank or any other financial agency to be issued in response to the need for collaboration by both Governments;

That the Government of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay has accepted this procedure and appointed the respective Commission, which has been carried out by the
relevant studies;

That it is the purpose of the Government of the Argentine Republic to carry out the planned works, to satisfy the demands of its energy market, especially the emerging ones of the international conventions, fulfilling the works of Salto Grande with both premises;

Therefore,

The President of the Argentine Nation,

Decrete:

Article 1 — Créase una Comisión Interministerial presidida por el señor Ministro Secretario en el Departamento de Relaciones Exteriores y Culto, Doctor D. Nicanor Ernesto Costa Méndez; e integración por los señores Ministro Secretario en el Departamento de Economía, Doctor D. Jorge Néstor Salimei; Secretario de Estado de Hacienda, Contador Publico Nacional don Francisco Rodolfo Aguilar; Secretario de Estado de Energía y Combustibles, Ingeniero

Art. 2° — This Commission will be responsible for coordinating and defining some complementary aspects, linked to the implementation of the draft Great Salto and the Convention of 30 December 1946, and for these same purposes will deal with its similarity from the Government of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay.

Article 3 — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship will agree with the Government of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay on the opportunity of joint meetings of the aforementioned commissions.

Art. 4° — The present decree will be endorsed by the Ministers Secretaries in the Departments of Foreign Affairs and Worship, Economics and Works and Public Services int. and signed by the Secretaries of State of Finance, Energy and Fuels and Public Works.

Art. 5° — Communicate, publish, give to the National Directorate of the Official Register and archvese.
