Prohibite Sport and Commercial Fishing in Places where Subfluvial Cables exist.

VISTO this file X.D.P.N. 1 No. 3/962 informed by the Secretary of State of Marina (National Maritime Prefecture), and

CONSIDERING:

That in the opportunity to investigate breakdowns or subfluvial cables, there has been a direct relationship between them with the practice of deporitva and/or commercial fishing;

That this matter has not been subjected to comprehensive treatment and such activities have been exercised with absolute freedom, in places such as those mentioned, where it must obviously be stopped;

That therefore it is necessary to create a normative regime, appropriate to the entity and value d and the assets that are to be protected;

Therefore,

The President of the Argentine Nation, Decreta:

Article 1 - Sport and commercial fishing activities are prohibited in places where there are subfluvial cable of any kind, provided that they are indicated, by coastal pointing or in the cards and/or navigation .

Art. 2° - The previous restriction will exercise its empire at a distance of one hundred (100) meters in internal rivers and five hundred meters (500) in the Rio de la Plata, which in each case must be considered on both sides of the cable and will understand all the fishing arts used in that character.

Art. 3° - Any infringement shall be punished with a fine of five hundred (m$n. 500.-) to five thousand (m$n. 5,000.-) pesos national currency provided that by its nature it does not set up a crime.

Art. 4° - This decree will be endorsed by the Ministers Secretaries in the Departments of National Defence, Economics and Public Works and Services and signed by the Secretaries of State of Marina, Agriculture and Livestock, Energy and Fuel and Communications.

Art. 5° - Contact, post, give to the Directorate General of the Official and Printed Bulletin and return to the Secretary of State of Marina (National Maritime Prefecture), for its processing and archive.
