VISTO: Decree No. 7.290/61, establishing the National Development Council as the agency of the Presidency of the Nation, and

CONSIDERING:

That the Alliance for Progress represents the continental opportunity to intensify the pace of development through cooperative action that will make the best use of available resources viable;

That the Punta del Este Charter has instituted immediate action mechanisms to achieve the objectives set out in the respective national programmes;

That being the National Development Council the natural body responsible for the preparation and formulation of such programmes, it is desirable that the same coordinate the procedures for action in this field;

Therefore,

Article 1 . Please advise the Vice-President of the National Development Council of the Argentine Republic for the coordination of programmes related to the Alliance for Progress.

Art. 2° . The designated representative will maintain contact with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship regarding relations with foreign Governments and international agencies.

Art. 3° . This decree will be endorsed by the Ministers Secretaries in the Departments of Economy and Foreign Affairs and Worship.

Art. 4° pub Communicate, publish, give to the General Directorate of the Official Gazette and Prints and archvese.
