The National Registry of Intellectual Property will depend on the M. of Education.

CONSIDERING: That Law No. 11.723 was issued to register and protect intellectual property and promote the promotion of the arts and letters; that in turn Law No. 12.227 created the Permanent Fund of the National Commission on Culture, to be applied for the purposes of Law No. 11.723, a fund that was increased by Laws No. 13.894 (Decree No. 16.113/46) and 13.922 (Decree No. 4.452/51); In accordance with the current administrative system, the bodies

of application of Law No. 11.723 and its supplements depend on different State Departments, since, while the Directorate General of Culture, which administers the permanent fund created by Law No. 12.227, integrates the Ministry of Education, the National Registry of Intellectual Property, created by Law No. 11.723, depends on the Ministry of Justice; that it is evident the convenience of bringing together under the same unit all the agencies responsible for the application of Law No.

Article 1 - The National Register of Intellectual Property, created by law 11.723, will be relied upon by the Ministry of Education, with all the functions and powers conferred upon it by that law.

Art. 2 - They are covered by the transfer provided by art. 1st, staff in the Registry ' s budget, as well as all funds, resources and assets of the Register.

Art. 3 - The cost budget of the National Register of Intellectual Property will be included as a section in the Ministry of Education.

Art. 4 - Funds for the budget of the Register of Intellectual Property shall be transferred to the corresponding annex in the budget of the Ministry of Education, with intervention of the Ministry of Finance

Art. 5o - This decree will be endorsed by the ministers secretaries of State in the departments of Justice, Education and Finance.
