LEY:
ARTICLE 1- Approve the Cultural Convention between the Argentine Republic and the Republic of Lebanon, and subscribe to the Federal Capital on December 6, of the year of the Liberator General San Martín 1950.
ARTICLE 2- Contact the Executive.

Cultural Convention between Argentina and Lebanon
The Argentine Government and the Lebanese Government, in their common desire to strengthen the ties of cultural collaboration and further strengthen friendly relations among themselves, resolved to conclude a cultural agreement between the two countries designated by the Argentine Government in their representation to H.E. Mr. Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship, Dr. Hipólito Jesús Paz, and the Lebanese Government to H.E. Mr. Extraordinary Envoy and Minister Plenipotentiary, Don Adib.
Those who have verified the authenticity of their respective credentials have established the following provisions:
Article 1 - The High Contracting Parties undertake to support each other in initiatives to ensure greater cultural collaboration between the two nations.
Article 2 - The High Contracting Parties shall sponsor the cultural exchange between their peoples in the scientific and artistic field and especially in what follows:
1 Facilitate the exchange of books and publications of national origin.
2° Regularly submit publications that facilitate the knowledge of each country in the other and which are officially published.
3° Collaboration between their sports centers.
4° Organize the exchange of national films that strengthen the spirit of collaboration and friendship between both countries.
Art. 3°- The High Contracting Parties agree on the exchange of teachers, lecturers, authors, artists and students, and to grant scholarships and grants by taking the measures within their reach for this purpose.
Art. 4° - Special facilities will be provided for the establishment of Spanish language education and studies in the universities and colleges of Lebanon and Arabic language teaching and study centres in the universities and colleges of the Argentine Republic.
Article 5 - The High Contracting Parties agree to activate and assist the tasks of translating Argentine works into the Arabic language and Arab works into Spanish, assessing the importance of them and the usefulness expected of this effort, for the greater and mutual understanding among the citizens of both nations.
Article 6 - The High Contracting Parties shall endeavour to promote and facilitate tourism within their respective jurisdictions in order to increase mutual knowledge and strengthen, even more, the understanding between the two peoples.
Article 7 - The High Contracting Parties shall hold a special agreement to give revaluation to diplomas and qualifications granted by the corresponding authorities in both countries, allowing the continuation of the study in their respective schools, as well as to regulate in that agreement the provisions of articles 3. and 4.
Article 8 - The High Contracting Parties shall take appropriate measures for the implementation of the above-mentioned provisions and shall, to this end, permit the formation in their respective countries of associations and centres that serve precisely Lebanese Argentine cooperation, to be subject to national laws governing the country in which their headquarters are established.
Article 9 - This Convention shall enter into force from the day of the exchange of documents of its ratification, and any Contracting Party may denounce it by a notification which shall communicate it to the other Party within a period not less than twelve months.
In faith of which, the Plenipotentiaries mentioned above sign this Convention in two copies, in the Spanish and Arabic languages, both equally valid and another in French that will govern in case of discrepancies, and seal them in Buenos Aires on the six days of the month of December of the year of the Liberator General San Martín, a thousand nine hundred and fifty.
