The Senate and Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine Nation assembled in Congress, etc. sanction with force of Law:

ARTICLE 1 Appropriate the amendment to the agreement on the question of persons who are members of MERCOSUR, which is signed at Asunción .REPUBLICA DEL PARAGUAY el on 20 June 2005, which consists of DOS (2) articles, whose photocopy authenticated in Spanish is part of this law. ARTICLE 2 Contact the national executive branch.

AMENDING TO THE AGREEMENT ON THE TREATY OF PERSONS CONDENED FROM STATES PARTIES TO MERCOSUR

The Governments of the Argentine Republic, the Federal Republic of Brazil, the Republic of Paraguay and the Eastern Republic of Uruguay, henceforth "the States Parties";

CONSIDERING that there are errors in the "Agreement on the Transfer of Condemned Persons between the States Parties of MERCOSUR", signed in Belo Horizonte, Federal Republic of Brazil, on 16 December 2004;

CONSCIENTS of the need to harmonize the texts;

ARTICLE 1

Modify Article 17 of the "Agreement on the Transfer of Condemned Persons between the States Parties of MERCOSUR", signed at Belo Horizonte on 16 December 2004, which reads as follows:

"ARTICLE 17. "This Agreement shall have an indefinite duration and shall enter into force 30 (treinth) days after the deposit of the fourth instrument of ratification. The Government of the Republic of Paraguay shall be the depositary of this Agreement and shall notify the Governments of the other States Parties and the Secretariat of MERCOSUR, the date of deposit of the instruments of ratification and the date of entry into force."

ARTICLE 2

This Amendment shall enter into force thirty (30) days after the date of deposit of the fourth instrument of ratification.

The Government of the Republic of Paraguay shall be the depositary of this Amendment and of the instruments of ratification, and shall send duly authenticated copies thereof to the Governments of other States Parties.
