The Senate and Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine Nation assembled in Congress, etc. sanction with force of Law:
ARTICLE 1 The folkloric musical genre called Chamamé is recognized as an integral part of Argentine cultural heritage in the terms established by Law No. 26.118, of ratification of the Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage. ARTICLE 2 Its preservation, recovery and dissemination are declared to be of national cultural interest, without any tax or tax exemption. Article 3 It is established on the 19th of September of each year "National Day of Chamamé", on the occasion of the death of the correspondent musician Mario del Tránsito Cocomarola (1918- 1974), to be included in the calendar of cultural ephemerides. ARTICLE 4 The Secretariat of Culture of the Nation, as an implementing authority, will promote actions by itself and in conjunction with the provincial governments and the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires to comply with this law.
