The Senate and Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine Nation assembled in Congress, etc. sanction with force of Law:

ARTICLE 1 This law regulates the integration of the Argentine components of the PEACE FORCE COMBINADA "CRUZ DEL SUR", established by Memorandum of Understanding signed by the Ministers of Defence of the ARGENTINA REPUBLIC and of the CHILE REPUBLIC, in force since 1 January 2007, to be employed in Peace Operations at the request of the United Nations Organization. ARTICLE 2 In the event that the Organization of the United Nations requests the participation of the United Nations Peace-keeping Force in a Peace Operation, the NATIONAL EXECUTIVE PEACE shall, in conjunction with the Government of the CHILE REPUBLIC, assess the feasibility and convenience of such participation. In order to keep the H. National Congress informed about the treaty in that process, the national executive branch will provide relevant information through a mechanism consisting of a Deputee or Deputee and a Senator or Senator appointed by the respective National Defence and Foreign Affairs and Worship Commissions of both Houses. After this, the national executive branch shall submit to the HONORABLE CONGRESS of the NATION the corresponding draft law on authorization to leave the national forces, in the terms of Law No. 25.880. Once the legislative approval is obtained, the NATIONAL EXECUTIVE PODER will proceed to deploy the COMBINADA PEACE FORCE "CRUZ DEL SUR", in conjunction with the Government of the CHILE REPUBLIC.

Article 3 Authorize the entry of troops from the CHILE REPUBLIC to the national territory and the departure of national forces to the CHILE REPUBLIC, with its corresponding armament, to integrate the FORCE of PAZ CONJUNTA COMBINADA "CRUZ DEL SUR" and carry out enlistment and exercise activities. The national executive branch will semesterly send a detailed report on the activities carried out and programmed for the Conjunct PEACE FORCE "CRUZ DEL SUR".

ARTICLE 4 THE MINISTERY OF DEFENSA MAYOR CONJUST OF FORCES ARMADAS will arbitrate the necessary measures in order to prepare, equipment and logistical support of the PEACE FORCE COMBINADA "CRUZ DEL SUR", as well as for the temporary exports and imports of the corresponding material. ARTICLE 5o The costs that demand the execution of this measure will be met from the budget of the National Administration for the Jurisdiction 45 - MINISTERY OF DEFENSA, Subjurisdiction 45.24 - MAYOR STATE OF ARMED FORCES, Programme 17 - PEACE FORCES.

ARTICLE 6 The provisions of this law shall be applicable in the event of the incorporation of third Latin American countries into the "CRUZ DEL SUR" FORCE.
