AGROPULARY EMERGENCY Law 26.420 Defer environmental disaster and agricultural and commercial emergency to certain departments affected by drought and volcanic activity in the province of Chubut. Sanctioned: October, 22nd 2008. Promulgated of Fact: November, 11 of 2008.

The Senate and Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine Nation, meeting in Congress, etc., sanction with force of law:

ARTICLE 1 Declárase zone of environmental disaster and agricultural and commercial emergency by the end of CIENTO OCHENTA (180) days prorrogable equally by the national executive branch, to the Departments affected by drought and volcanic activity of Cushamen, Futaleufú, Tehuelches, Río Senguerr and Languiñeo, in the province of Chubut.

ARTICLE 2 The national executive branch will provide a special heading to address the actions of assistance and productive reconstruction of the affected economies in the areas mentioned in Article 1.

Article 3 Commend the national executive branch with the expansion of funds for the coverage of social plans during the period of the emergency declaration in the geographical area of the declaration, as well as the adoption of measures to preserve and restore production and employment relations.

ARTICLE 4 Please inform the national executive branch that special measures will be taken through the Bank of Argentina to refinance the obligations of the affected producers.

ARTICLE 5o Provide the national executive branch with special payment regimes by the Federal Public Income Administration (AFIP) and the National Social Security Administration (ANSES) which expressly provides for the taxpayers affected under Article 1 of this Act.
