Law:

ARTICLE 1 Trust the National University of Río Negro, for the development of university activities exclusively in the province of Río Negro, which will be subject to the legal regime applicable to national universities.

The academic offer will be compatible with which the National Universities of Comahue and Cuyo (Instituto Balseiro) currently have both geographical and disciplinary levels.

ARTICLE 2 The executive branch shall be empowered to manage and accept the assignment of movable and immovable property, which shall constitute the heritage of the National University of Río Negro, from the Government of the Province of Río Negro, from the municipalities within its regional and/or public and private institutions.

Article 3 The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology shall have the appointment of a Rector-Organizer who shall have the powers conferred by article 49 of Law No. 24.521 and shall remain in office until the authorities are elected to establish the future statute of the National University of Río Negro. The Rector-Organizer will be assisted by an institutional project advisory commission composed of a representative of the provincial Government and a representative of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of the Nation. ARTICLE 4 The institutional project will provide for the development of teaching, research and university outreach activities that respond to the economic, scientific, technological, cultural, environmental and planning needs of the regions of the provincial territory.

ARTICLE 5o The costs that demand the implementation of this law will be met with the specific provision of credit for national universities to be determined by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology until the inclusion of the National University of Río Negro, in the budget law and other resources that enter by any degree.
