EXCELLENTISIME THE PRESIDENT OF THE NATION:

I have the honour to extend to your Excellency the Deputy Bill, which encourages the extension of all Federal Police Security and Defence personnel, of the supplement for "Professional Risk" instituted by Law No. 18.926, amended by Law No. 20.054, and the lifting of the amount of the same to the sum of CINCUENTA PESOS ($ 150).

The above-mentioned supplement is currently limited to Junior, Male, Security and Defence staff.

In the present circumstances, in which crime increases its action and its modalities, it is not fair to limit the scope of this item, excluding superior and female junior staff, as both one and the other share risks, in dealing with it, with the current beneficiaries of the supplement.

At the same time, it is considered impossible to update the amount of this supplement that remains unchanged from the very moment of its creation, in 1971, bringing it to values consistent with the current economic situation.

The measure that is conducive does not reach staff in passivity or police personnel not considered as Security and Defence.

By the nature of the measure, and following the criterion applied on the occasion of the dictation of the previous laws, it is suggested that it be in conformity with this character of secrecy.

In use of the powers conferred by Article 5 of the Statute of the Argentine Revolution,

THE PRESIDENT OF THE ARGENTINA SANCIONA NATION AND PROMULGA WITH FORCE OF LEY:

ARTICLE 1 The "Professional Risk" supplement set out in Act No. 18,926, as amended by Act No. 20.054, will be paid from 1 January 1973 to all the personnel of Seguri- Dad and Defense of the Federal Police, setting their amount, from the same date, in the following form: from the grade of Commissioner General to the grade of Sergeant 1st, CIENTO CINCUENTA PESOS ($ 150-grade).
