EMERGENCY STATE Act No. 25,840 Defer to the Department of General San Martín, Salta Province for six months, extending its effects to industrial, commercial, agricultural, mining and services activities. Sanctioned: November 26, 2003 promulgated: December 29, 2003

The Senate and Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine Nation assembled in Congress, etc. sanction with force of Law:

ARTICLE 1 Determine as "state of emergency", during the six-month period, extended by the Executive Branch, the Department of General San Martín .Province of Salta . extending its effects to industrial, commercial, agricultural, mining and service activities. ARTICLE 2 Authorize the national executive branch to provide, through the relevant agency, the deferral immediately of the tax and forecasting obligations that have expired and to overcome, in the terms of Article 1. ARTICLE 3 Authorize the National Executive Branch, through the Official Bank, to provide for the renegotiation of the credits given to the victims of the state of emergency. ARTICLE 4 Authorize the National Executive Branch to implement, through the Central Bank, measures aimed at avoiding the implementation of the sanctions provided for in Acts 24,452 and 25,730 on the victims. ARTICLE 5° The national executive branch, through the relevant agency, will ensure the execution of the public work planned to be carried out in the Department of General San Martín, Province of Salta. ARTICLE 6 Contact the national executive branch.
