Since 1999, the exercises carried out separately with the ARGENTINA REPUBLIC, the FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF BRAZIL and the ORIENTAL REPUBLIC OF URUGUAY, in a single phase called "Atlantic", rotative and that during 2004 will be carried out in the ORIENTAL REPUBLIC of URUGUAY.
Other regional and extra-continental ARMADAS are also invited to participate with vessels, aircraft or observer officers.
This exercise is based on the consolidation of the operational and material capacities that make a deterrent strategy effective, further supporting the maintenance of international peace and security, in particular that of our continent.
3. Principles of the Objectives of Activity:The Execution of Combined Exercise UNITAS FASE ATLANTICO, it helps to increase the level of interoperability with the Armed Forces of the participating countries.

In this context, tactics, doctrine and operational procedures for the use of naval forces are developed and improved and operations are coordinated at sea.
ANNEX VIII BASICAL INFORMATION INTRODUCTION IN THE TERRITORY OF NATION 1. Type of Activity to Develop:Combined Multilateral Training Exercise on the River "ACRUX II 2005".
2. Project origin:The ACRUX exercise began in 1999 to unify exercises with the participation of countries with which we carried out similar exercises on a bilateral basis. Only the countries of the region are involved, with the aim of providing participants with the opportunity to conduct combined naval operations, increase the operational capacities of their naval, air and marine infantry forces, enhance the enlistment of the material and human resources involved, and promote friendship, understanding and mutual trust. This initiative of the ARGENTINA ARMADA was accepted by the marines of the FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF BRAZIL, REPUBLIC OF BOLIVIA, REPUBLIC OF PARAGUAY and REPUBLIC OF URUGUAY.
Its execution is of interest in the advanced degree of technology and specialization in techniques and tactics and because it requires a coastal environment, thus allowing to integrate the Armed Forces that do not have units to operate on the high seas (REPUBLIC OF PARAGUAY and REPUBLIC OF BOLIVIA).
This exercise has a biannual development, with rotating headquarters, during the year 2001 it was held in the FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF BRAZIL, with only planning and development as a Board Game. The year 2003 was cancelled. It is expected that our country will host the year 2005.
This exercise is based on the consolidation of the operational and material capacities that make a deterrent strategy effective, further supporting the maintenance of international peace and security, in particular that of our continent.
3. Principles of the Objectives of Activity:This type of coastal exercises, in which the priority objective is to keep the waterways available, constitutes a naval military operation of growing boom in the world.
The Execution of Combined Exercise ACRUX contributes to increasing the level of interoperability between the Armed Forces of the coastal countries of the Paraná-Paraguay waterway.
This is achieved through the exchange of information on the command and control systems of the naval means of surface, air and infantry of participating marines, of doctrines and procedures, and the combined training in the conduct of Multinational Forces in a coastal environment.
This type of exercise, framed by international military cooperation, serves to strengthen mutual trust and integration with the Armed Forces concerned on the issues related to the Paraná - Paraguay waterway and to maintain an adequate level of training to integrate a Multinational Force.
