INDIGENARY POLICY AND SUPPORT TO ABORIGENOUS COMMUNITIES Law 25,799 Amend Chapter VIII of Law No. 23,302, on Housing Plans. Sanctioned: November 5, 2003. Enacted: November 28, 2003.

The Senate and Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine Nation assembled in Congress, etc. sanction with force of Law:

ARTICLE 1 Amend Section 23 of Chapter VIII of Law 23.302 on Indigenous Policy and Support to Aboriginal Communities, which will be drafted as follows:

Article 23: The National Institute for Indigenous Affairs will manage the establishment of special plans for the construction of rural and urban housing for the owners of the lands awarded by this law, to national and international agencies that develop housing development plans.

ARTICLE 2 Incorporate Chapter VIII of Law 23.302, Article 23 bis, which shall be established with the following text:

Article 23 bis: Promote in the framework of this Act the conservation of culture and socio-economic integration of Aboriginal communities, considering the following aspects related to the generation of basic social infrastructure and primary economic positioning:

(a) Development of new skills applicable to social projects, through labour training;

(b) Incorporation of self-employment; and

(c) Development of culture and promotion of community self-management; and

(d) Respect and adaptation of the techniques and customs of each community.

Article 3 Contact the national executive branch.
