SUPERIOR EDUCATION LAW Law 25.573 Amendment of Law No. 24.521.

The Senate and Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine Nation assembled in Congress, etc. sanction with force of Law:

ARTICLE 1 Insert the following text into article 2 of Law 24.521, which shall be read as follows:

Article 2: The State, which has an indelible responsibility for the provision of the public higher education service, recognizes and guarantees the right to fulfil this level of education to all those who wish to do so and have the necessary training and capacity.

It should also ensure accessibility to the physical environment, interpretation services and necessary and sufficient technical support for persons with disabilities.

ARTICLE 2 el Incorporate article 13 (f) of Law 24.521, Higher Education Act, which shall read as follows:

Article 13: Students from state institutions of higher education have the right to:

(f) Persons with disabilities, during evaluations, should have the necessary and adequate interpretation services and technical support.

Article 3 , Amend article 28 (a) of Law 24.521, Law on Higher Education, which shall read as follows:

(a) To train and train scientists, professionals, teachers and technicians, able to act with professional solidarity, responsibility, critical and reflective spirit, creative mentality, ethical sense and social sensitivity, responding to individual demands, in particular persons with disabilities, disadvantage or marginality, and to national and regional requirements.

ARTICLE 4 , Enter article 29 (e) of Law 24.521 the following text, which shall be written as follows:

Article 29: University institutions shall have academic and institutional autonomy, which basically includes the following powers:

(e) Formulate and develop curricula, scientific research and outreach and community services, including teaching professional ethics and training and training on disability issues.
